Mini-SUMMITs FOR Shared Print Sustainability

Mini summit #1 "Importance of Shared Print Sustainability - Setting the Stage"

The goal of this first mini-summit was focused on context setting and the value of addressing sustainability for shared print. We also worked collaboratively to establish a foundational understanding of shared print sustainability to help guide future discussions and mini-summits.

The mini-summit was held on January 29, 2025.

You can access the recordings, transcript, and public breakout notes in this public folder. To continue the conversation started during the mini-summit, we have included a public copy of CCH’s Definition of Sustainability for you to continue engaging with. Please continue to add notes and comments.

Mini Summit #2 "Establishing the problem space"

The goal of the second mini-summit was to establish the problem space and where we are with sustainability and shared print.

Attendees engaged with inputs including the blog post Shared Print Down the Rabbit Hole, themes from the first mini summit, and summit survey results to consider one outline of the problem space. Attendees then used a specific framework, the sustainability maturity model, to interpret the problem space and begin to map paths forward.

This event took place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

mini-summit #3 "Aligning sustainability with strategy"

The goal of the third mini-summit was to align sustainability with strategy based on work we accomplished together during the first two mini-summits.

Attendees engaged with ideas around increasing the value of print collections, driving sustainability of shared print efforts, and building an ecosystem to enable sustainability.  Attendees then used a long standing challege of shared print to identify building blocks needed to help develop an ecosystem model to address current challenges.

This event took place on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
